Srinagar, April 19, 2018 (KNO) : Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik, Thursday expressed serious concern over increasing human rights violation in state, saying people pursuing right to self-determination are facing worst type of state sponsored terrorism. Expressing their deep concern over human rights violations, torture in detention enterers, molestations, joint resistance leadership said that unabated killings and brutalities are worst form of state terrorism.

JRL in their appeal to UN General Secretary and international organizations for human rights, urged to take cognizance of rights violations and added that people in state are worst sufferers. Pro-freedom leaders ridiculed the statement of Director General Prisons before State Human Rights Commission and said that, we with substantial proof can produce sufficient evidences before international human rights organization that detainees caged in state and outside jails are physically tortured and subjected to worst inhuman treatment .

The reports pouring in from different jails are horrific, saying that detainees are meted out with inhuman treatment, incarcerated students are not allowed to keep their text books, denied medical care ,humiliated and intimidated on one pretext or the other , they added. International community should take cognizance as situation in nook and corner of occupied state is quite appalling and deteriorating with every passing day, said JRL No rule of law exists in state and while referring to rape and merciless killing of minor 8-year nomadic girl Asifa, the JRL said that it vindicates our claim that men in uniform are involved in heinous crimes and under draconian laws enjoy impunity.

Demanding impartial probe by UNO sponsored agency, the JRL said that effected family in Kathua is being harassed and pressurized to withdraw case against accused and state machinery is being utilized to hush-up the case, added they. Joint resistance leadership strongly condemned the use of brute force against students and said that a situation in educational situations is turning explosive. Blaming police for manhandling students in Islamabad, Kulgam Shopian, Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and other places, they said that students are our future and we are keeping close vigil over changing development. Terming the police action as vandalism and absolute barbaric, JRL said that we will never tolerate this and won't leave innocent students at the mercy of authorities. The direct and unprovoked interference from police are infuriating students, said they.

The gruesome incident of Kathua is shocking and consequent reaction and resentment of all sections irrespective of their faith and religion is obvious and as use of brute force against those expressing their sympathy with effected family and demanding stringent action for criminals illustrates their concern and are extra conscious to contain these heart wrenching crimes. Appealing people to maintain discipline and avoid confusion and disorder, JRL said during the campaign and protest demonstrations against Kathua incident, it is appropriate that we should maintain discipline as some mischievous elements are desperate to play foul and are hell-bent to deviate attention and give ugly turn to our peaceful demonstrations.
